Mr. Kelly was then excused. <br /> Mayor Carlson then asked opinions on Mr. Kelly from the council, and stated he himself <br /> was very interested in Mr. Kelly for the position. <br /> Pam stated they wouldn't know how long they would have him if he was hired. <br /> Irene stated he was rather young, just twenty one years old. <br /> The last person to be interviewed was Mr. Ronald Warren. He was asked where he planned to <br /> be in his career five years from nowt and he stated he wanted to get experience and then <br /> go on to administeration at the State or Federal level. <br /> Don Lease questioned about his background regarding working with people. Mr. Warren said <br /> he had coached ohildren in football, but in colleges spent his time working on college work. <br /> He said though# that he felt he could communicate easily with all types df people on all <br /> subjects. <br /> Pam Bjorum asked if he would be willing to move to Hugo. He stated he and his wife preferred <br /> a small town atmosphere. Pam also asked whether he knew anything about gravel roads or <br /> water servicer and Mr. Warren said he did not. <br /> Mayor Carlson wondered if he had had courses related to planning or zoning in college. Mr. <br /> Warren stated he had played a simulated game making governmental decisions through a computer. <br /> He said he had had organizational theeriesp public finances administrative law, and <br /> budgeting. <br /> Don Lease asked about night work. Mr. Warren stated he realized night meetings were a <br /> circumstance of the job. <br /> Mayor Carlson asked if he knew how to flush a water hydrant and Mr. Warren said he did not. <br /> Mayor Carlson said he would have to learn, and also learn about planning roads. <br /> Don Lease asked about salary requirements. Mr. Warren stated $10p000.00 per year minimum. <br /> Mr. Warren then asked if the coordinator would be responsible to the council as a whole, <br /> or to individual members. <br /> Pam stated the council needed someone who could find out what's going on in town, so they <br /> could set a policy and implement it. <br /> Mr. Warren was then excused. <br /> Irene stated that he had absolutely no experiencep but Mayor Carlson said getting a man with <br /> a master degree at 5109000.00 per year would be quite a feat. <br /> Pam stated she liked Mr. Warren betterp and Don Lease said Mr. Warren was his choice when he <br /> was on the screening committee. Don also said he couldn't make any decision on this though, <br /> until he knows what is transpiring with White Bear Lake regarding sewer. Mayor Carlson stated <br /> Ken Huber of White Bear is working on an agreement and he should probably have it by Monday. <br /> Motion made by Lease and seconded by Bjorum to adjourn at 905 PM.
