It was noted that the contractor <br /> cannot be paid until the contract is signed and okayed by HUD. <br /> I"otion made by LaValle, seconded by Leroux that ITayor Lease and Clerk <br /> Burkard be authorized to sign necessary contract documents for Sewer Pro— <br /> ject 1973-1 , and contract to become effective upon approval of HUD. Lotion <br /> carried. <br /> Attorney Johnson mentioned that Don Tauer's attorney called stating Tir. <br /> ^'quer did not care to carry out certain orders of the Planning Commission. <br /> Dan Spitzer said there will be a public hearing for Mr. Tauer June 11th, <br /> and he has to comply with certain items like everyone else. <br /> Attorney Johnson then explained to Council amendments to the "Open Meeting <br /> Law" . He said the lax.-,, is actually unclear as to "notice required" . The <br /> statute required that any action taken in a sleeting shall be recorded and <br /> a poll of votes taken. He recommended that the City Resolution for Meetings <br /> be modified in that there should be a, provision for posting notice for <br /> special meetings. <br /> As it was nearing 11 :00 PPI and more business had to be taken care of, the <br /> following action was taken: Motion made by LaValle, seconded by PTartin <br /> to temporarily suspend the rules cf Resolution 1974-10, a resolution for <br /> limiting the duration of regular city council meetings. Motion carried. <br /> I-:ayor Lease then said as there was a vacancy on the Council and also on <br /> the Plannin,); Commission, he would like to hold a special meeting to hear <br /> all those interested in the two positions.
