The minutes of Tay 20th were reviewed and approved as presented. The min— utes of Day 29th were corrected in that page 2 paragraph 2 states Yr. Chapman was on the Oneka Township Planning Commission. Minutes approved after correction. The general Claims for payment were then reviewed. Regarding payment to the sewer contractor, the attorney and engineer said payment could be authorized, but the check held until a letter of concurrence fro;..IHUD is received. Hotion made by Partin, seconded by Leroux that general claims be paid, with the check for Hoffman Brothers being held until a letter of concur— rence from HUD is received. iTotion carried. Notion made by nartir_, seconded by Leroux that water department claims be paid. Notion carried. The appointment of: a council member and planning commission member was the next item on the agenda. Motion made by Tartin, seconded by Leroux, to adopt Resolution 1974-14, A Resolution For Appointing A Nember Of The City Cou rail .For the City Of Hugo, Finnesota, To Fill A Vacancy, James W. Smith being the appointee. nartin, Lease, Leroux, for. ,potion carried. Clerk Durkard then swore in. Yr. Smith and he took his council seat. Notion made by Leroux, seconded by 7artin to appoint IIoward Schletty to the planning commission to fill the unexpired term of David Norden. Notion carried. June Smith appeared regarding an amended Special Use Permit for her child care center. She had formally made an application and paid the 325.00 fee. She had also appeared before the planning commission, and they felt a few conditions should be added to her permit. . ;; edition 12 of therepermit is to read" The present sewer disposal_ drainfield system be expanded by Sep— tember 1 . 1975 by adding an additional 1 ,000 gallon septic tank in se ve:+., with the existing tank and two additional drainfield lines be added, each one being; 75 feet in length placed in trenches 24 inches wide. The council was nest given copies of the attorney and engineer' s contracts for sewer wort; for review. Nayor Lease read aloud rr. Johnson's Represen— tative Proposal. It was stated it will be 11% of the bid figure. None of the time Mr. Johnson has spent on the sewer project has appeared on his monthly statements. Notion made by Martin, seconded by Leroux to accept letter dated Kay 20, 1974 from attorney Charles A. Johnson for Representation Proposal Sanitary Sewer Project 1973-1 . HUD—'.ASF-1`7-05-0148. Motion carried.. Engineer Howard Tuuyisto' s contract was discussed next. This had already been approved and signed in December, but copies could not be found. Potion made by Lease, seconded by Martin to approve Engineering; Contract of Howard A. I Ausisto for Sewer Project 1973-1 . Totion carried.
