Joseph Card regarding his <br /> obtaining; a building permit to remodel a summer home on Sunset Lake. Nr. <br /> Card was deiied a building permit by the inspector. Attorney Johnson is <br /> to res:)o:c lto Jr. Card' s attorneys. <br /> Clerk Burkard stated a letter had been .rec€.ived from the Hugo Elementary <br /> School Principal praising 'r;r. Barth and the Police Department for doing <br /> a fine job protecting the school and general public. <br /> A letter had been received from Jerry Belisle regarding a meeting on <br /> Shade Tree Disease to be held in the State Office Building On Spetember <br /> 17th at 8:30 M and the council was invited to attend. <br /> A letter had been received from Steven Chapman of I IPERG, which was a <br /> carbon copy of the letter 1a had sent to the White Bear Rod & Gun Club <br /> regarding trespass on Howard Schletty's property, and property damage <br /> to seedling trees. He stressed the problems to be encountered by the <br /> granting of the permit to the Gun Club. He also said the trespass might <br /> result in a court litigation. <br /> Howard TTuusisto stated Brian of his office had been working night and day <br /> to finish the sewer assessment nap which he showed to the council. Howard <br /> said :Shiers is contacting, the County regarding the extension of time fcr <br /> certifying assessments to the auditor. Ehlers will attend a meeting with <br /> the Sewer Board on the 19th to discuss these matters. <br /> Notion made by I,aVa lle, seconded by Lease that the Clerk purchase the <br /> necessary forms to send out for sewer assessments. Notion carried. <br /> Attorney Johnson stated with regard to injury on City property, written <br /> notice of same has to be received by the City within 50 days. <br /> I:r. Johnson had prepared an Election Ordinance which the council then <br /> reviewed, as he explained. Gerald Beach, the Tree Inspector. It was <br /> noted that lir. Beach' s insurance coverage was somewhat lower than dis- <br /> cussed at the last meeting. Notion made by LaVal_le, seconded by Smith to <br /> sign the agreement with Mr. Beach for Shade Tree Disease Control. Notion <br /> carried. The attorney is to send the a r reemnt to '"r. Beach for his sig- <br /> nature. <br /> Motion made by Lease and seconded to put a notice in the Mite Bear Press <br /> and Forest Lake Times that Hugo is hiring a Tree Inspector for control of <br /> Dutch Elm and Oak jilt and he is in the process of doing a survey in the <br /> City according to State Law. Notion carried. <br /> Acting Police Chief Barth appeared with letters for the council from various <br /> citizens regarding the Police Department. These letter are to be filed in <br /> ' the clerk' s office. <br />
