He said she would work approximately two horrs per day to <br /> start. i:otion made '.y Smith, seconded by Tease that Janet Ion be appointed <br /> part time secretary for the Hugo Police Department at a rate of ;x.;2.50 per <br /> hour. notion carried. <br /> Theodora Peltier then introduced to the council, Hike George, who is run— <br /> ning for State Representative from this district. <br /> Recess called at 9:25 T'?'. Called back to order at 9:50 PH. <br /> James Hugg appeared with Don Hult reagrding his obtaining preliminary <br /> approval on the plat of Hardwood Creek :,states. They had a somewhat re— <br /> vised plat map which they put up as they spoke. It was stated that a <br /> highway access application was to be mailed in the morning, and a drainage <br /> way as suggested by T'i1'. ::uusisto was put in. They would be giving ITugD <br /> restricted access to the lots, andthe lots are at least 5.4 acres in size. <br /> All have 300 ft. frontage cn the road except one with 265 ft. They said <br /> they don't expect a problem with the :;atershed Board. There was then some <br /> discussion on the "Scenic Easement" . LaValle said he felt the scenic case— <br /> ment would be a liability to the City, not a value. Lease said he would <br /> like 171.. Johnson to write the scenic easement with Fr. Daggs. The City is <br /> not to be responsible for any maintenance or liability. Smith. and Leroux <br /> agreed with this. <br /> :lotion made by Hartin, and seconded to table the Hardwood Creek estates <br /> application until October 7, 1974, and until such time as the City gets <br /> the Highway ,access Permit, the ;ice Creel: Permit, Scenic ';ascment drawn <br /> by attorney Johnson, the ' 25,000 Performance Bond, and the Chenge of Access <br /> on Lot Seven. I:otion carried. <br /> Hayor Lease mentioned he had received a letter from the :7hite Bear Youth <br /> Resource Bureau requesting funds if Hugo has it to give. <br /> :-ayor Lease had delved into the problem of the J'nviron_riental Assessment <br /> to be made on the Gun Club by the City and had two bids to do the work. <br /> One verbal bid is to be followed by a written proposition fror Gerald <br /> Sunday, Consulting Engineer_ , at a cost not to exceed 0500.00. 72'x:.: other <br /> was from i?ational Biocentrics, Inc. which would be between ::1500 to . 2000. <br /> :"ayor Lease said he would like the council to act on this at the meeting <br /> on the 23rd. <br /> H:otion made by Smith, seconded by LaValle to adjourn at 11 :00 PIT.
