OCTOBER 7, 1974 MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF HUC, O;., r <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Acting Mayor LaValle, <br /> Roll was called: LaValle, Leroux, Martin, Smith present, Lease absent. <br /> Minutes of meetings of September 16th, 23rd, and 24th were reviewed. <br /> Motion made by Leroux, seconded by Smith to approve minutes of September <br /> III 16th. Motion carried. <br /> Motion made and seconded to approve minutes of September 23rd. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Smith to approve minutes of Septem- <br /> ber 24th. Motion carried. <br /> Regarding the October 1st minutes, Clerk Burkard, stated there should be <br /> a motion to recind the motion adopting the levy for the Cit y, as he had <br /> a resolution for adopting same. <br /> Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Martin to recind motion in October <br /> 1st minutes adopting City Levy, and minutes be approved after such <br /> correction. Motion carried. <br /> Motion made by Leroux, seconded by Martin to approve General Claims. <br /> Motion carried. Motion made by Martin, seconded by Smith to pay Water <br /> Department Claims. Motion carried. <br /> Leon Muellner appeared regarding the petition he had presented to the <br /> Council last winter for putting in "No Parking" signs on the West side <br /> of Francesca by the hockey rink. He said something was to be done this <br /> past summer, but nothing had been done as yet. Motion made by LaValle, <br /> seconded by Smith that Clerk purchase necessary signs to solve the park- <br /> ing problem on Francesca. Motion carried. <br /> A Mr. Land, Mr. Hangi, and Mr. Rialer appeared with their attorney, David <br /> Doyscher, regarding their inability to obtain building permits from the <br /> building inspector. They felt their perc tests were adequate, but mr. <br /> Crever had visited their sites and said they were unbuildable as far as <br /> he was concerned. Mr. Doyscher said Rice Creek Watershed had made on-site <br /> inspections and had found no problem. As Mr. Crever was not in attendance <br /> at the meeting, the Clerk's office was asked to notify him to submit a <br /> written report on the three lots before the next meeting, when theses people <br /> will again be on the agenda. Howard Kuusisto and Marvin LaValle will also <br /> make an on-site inspection of the area. <br /> Three bills had been submitted to the Clerk's office by the Hollahan <br /> Family for removal of oil on their cars. They apparently live on the haul <br /> route for the County Highway Project and their cars had been sprayed with <br /> oil which had been put on the road. for dust control. There was some mention <br /> of giving the claims to Rehbein, but LaValle said Rehbein already knew of <br /> them, and felt it was not their obligation to pay. LaValle said if these <br /> claims were paid, there would be more resulting in. thousands of dollars. <br /> Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Smith to deny the claims of $107.96 <br /> each for removal of oil on the cars. Motion carried. <br /> Lee Martin reported to Council he felt they should meet with the Planning <br /> Commission and Ordinance Committee soon to discuss changes in the zoning <br /> Ordinance. Motion made by Martin, seconded by Leroux that a Special Meet- <br /> ing with the Council, Planning Commission, and Ordinance Committee be held <br /> on Thursday, October 17th, at 7:00 PM at the City Hall to discuss changes <br /> in the Zoning Ordinance. Motion carried. The Clerk' s office is to notify <br /> all the members of the various committees. <br />
