It was stated that proposed assessments for the new sewer had been sent to <br /> .,. citizens, and the hearing will be Friday, October 11th at the Hugo School. <br /> Clerk Burkard then read aloud a letter from the Metro Sewer Board stating <br /> the SAC charge for 1975 will be X32.5.00 and the annual user charge is to be <br /> $10,513.06 with monthly installments of $876.09. <br /> Acting Police Chief Barth appeared with his written report which also ste ' i <br /> he would like vacation time on October 30, 31 , November 1 , 4, and 5. <br /> Motion made by LaValle and seconded to approve vacation for the Acting <br /> Police Chief on the dates specified in his letter dated October 7, 1974. <br /> Motion carried. Mr. Barth also questioned whether he was still acting <br /> chief or now a patrolman, as he was made acting chief for three months only. <br /> Motion made by Martin, seconded by LaValle to axtend Mr. Barths being acting <br /> chief for thirty days. Motion carried. This subject is to be put on the <br /> October 21st agenda for discussion. <br /> Attorney Johnson next gave his written report to Council as he explained <br /> a few items. He said there is a discrepancy in the wording of the Bond <br /> for the Hugo A & W Special Use Permit. It is to read "approved" rather <br /> then "prepared" by the City Engineer. Clerk's office is to notify owners. <br /> The White Bear Rod & Gun Club Letter of Credit was revised by Mr. Johnson <br /> and sent to the bank. <br /> Regarding the Metro Sewer Repayment Contract, some changes had been made, <br /> and Mr. Johnson had prepared a letter regarding reserve capacity, an appeal <br /> to reduce the charge, and any change in the law that would indicate what <br /> they have done was not legal, Hugo would have an "out". <br /> The Tree Inspector had sent back copies of the signed contract and he would <br /> like $500.00 paid to 'hin by November 1st. Motion made by Leroux, seconded <br /> by Martin to accept and sign the contract with the Tree Inspector. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Engineer Howard Kuusisto had sent his written report to Counci in the mai_, <br /> and he also explained a few items. It was stated that request for payment of <br /> part of the HUD Grant had been sent in. <br /> Howard said the contractor on._the County Project will correct any damage <br /> done to private property, culverts, etc. <br /> Motion made by Martin, seconded by Smith that Howard Kuusisto instruct <br /> Hoffman, to adjust the height of the manhole in the Industrial Park at a <br /> manium cost of $500.00. Motion carried. <br /> Clerk Burkard reported on the following: <br /> Motion made by Leroux, seconded by Martin to renew Mobile Home Permit <br /> for Joe Zaspel under paragraph d, section II, Oneka Ordinance #8. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion made by Leroux, seconded by Martin to approve NSP application <br /> G0794290 for gas main at 152nd St. No. and Hwy 61 . Motion carried. <br /> Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Smith to approve Northwestern Bell <br /> application JOB Order 30309 at Hilo and Homestead Drive. Motion carried. <br /> Motion made by Smith, seconded by Martin to approve Northwestern Bell <br /> Estimate 5258 for buried cable along the South side of Frenchmen Road. <br /> Motion carried. <br />
