All forms for the HUD Grant have been completed <br /> and we should be receiving the money soon. The complaint from Royal <br /> Haven Estates was discussed briefly along with Hardwood Creek Estates <br /> regarding damages done by NSP and Northwestern Bell. Even if they have <br /> submitted plans to Council the lines are not put where the plans state. <br /> A meeting would be set up with IPSP and Northwestern Bell to discuss <br /> this matter. <br /> There was discussion regarding an inspection of a fallen barn. The <br /> building inspector had contacted Fire Chief Granger and he was to <br /> go out there and check it. Lease stated we need a formal complaint <br /> in order to take any action. <br /> The building inspectors report was given which showed 3 new houses and <br /> a garage. <br /> The Clerk stated he had received a letter from the City of St. Paul, the <br /> Office of the City Attorney, in regard to the NSP application for increases <br /> in electrical and gas rates. They are interested in knowing how interested <br /> we are in the rates. LaValle <br /> made motion and Martin seconded that we adopt Ordinance Number 1974-117, <br /> an ordinance repealing an ordinance to protect public peace and morals <br /> by regulating the licensing of public dances and public dance halls and <br /> providing a penalty for violation thereof. Motion carried. <br /> At 9:01 Mayor Lease called a recess. <br /> Meeting reopened at 9:14 PM. <br /> Mr. Arcand appeared before the Council and requested that the cash deposi <br /> of $8,000.00 which is lieu of a bond for security deposit be returned <br /> to him at this time. Engineer Kuusisto submitted a letter stating that <br /> the work had been completed satisfactorially and is acceptable to the <br /> City Engineer.
