FEBRUARY 3, 1975 MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF HyG8 <br /> The meeting was called to order at :12 <br /> 7 by Mayor Lease. Members present <br /> were: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Schletty, and Smith. Also present were <br /> Charles Johnson, City Attorney and Howard Kuusisto, City Engineel,. <br /> The minutes of January 20 were reviewed. <br /> Schletty made mention that on the motion to appoint Pam Bjorum for the re- <br /> maining Planning Commission appointment, he was under the assumption that <br /> he was voting in favor of instead of opposing. <br /> Lease made motion to approve minutes of January 20. Leroux seconded. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> The minutes of the Special Audit Meeting on January 27 were reviewed. Motion <br /> made by Leroux, seconded by Schletty to approve minutes. Motion Carried. <br /> The general claims of February 3 were reviewed. Schletty made motion, Leroux <br /> seconded, to pay the General Claims of February 3. Motion Carried. <br /> The Water Department Claims were reviewed. LaValle made motion, Smith seconde <br /> to pay the Water Department Claims of February 3. Motion Carried. <br /> Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Leroux to grant a Temporary Mobile Home <br /> Permit under Chapter 40, Article III, Subdivision B to Neil Ganoe. Motion <br /> Carried. <br /> Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Schletty, to grant a renewal Temporary <br /> Mobile Home Permit to George Miron. Motion Carried. <br /> The application for a reverse subdivision of Donald C. Wenzel was discussed. <br /> The Planning Commission stated the application was superflous and unnecessary <br /> Attorney Johnson will contact Attorney Mikeworth and report on the conversa- <br /> tion February 18, 1975. <br /> Lease made motion, seconded by Leroux, to grant a Special Use Permit for Nortl <br /> Oaks Kennels, Inc. subject to the four (4) conditions outlined in the applic- <br /> ation. Motion Carried. <br /> James Wisner, representing the Hugo Lions Club, stated the newly formed <br /> club would like permission to use the grounds and Fire Hall for the Good <br /> Neighbors Day to be held June 27, 28, and 29. <br /> LaValle made motion to grant permission to the Hugo Lions Club to use the <br /> City grounds and the Fire Hall, with permission of the Fire Chief, for the <br /> purpose of having the Good Neighbors Day on June 27, 28, and 29. Leroux <br /> seconded. Motion Carried. <br /> The Ordinance Committee reported they are working on the Dog Ordinance and <br /> should have a final Ordinance by February 19 their next meeting. <br /> The Planning Commission have changed their meeting dates. Meetings will be <br /> the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. The fourth Wednesday optional <br /> and to be decided at the first meeting of the month. <br /> The Fire Department requested permission to purchase a base station. The <br /> radio, antenna and installation cost is $1 ,192.40. Their original budget <br /> was $800.00. Mayor Lease said it would be up to the Chief to transfer funds <br /> within the department to adjust for the base station, and to let the Council <br /> know how the transfer was made. The purchasing of a power pole was discussed, <br /> the representatives of the Fire Department said they would assume the respon- <br /> sibility of securing it. <br />
