MARCH 17, 1975 MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL r, A Public Hearing was called at 7:12 for the Supplemental Assessments: Reassessment of Plat 35135-6360 known as Hugo Land Development Company. The City Clerk read the Public Hearing Notice and discussion was made as to how many REC's, service connections and front footage of each parcel was to be assessed. LaValle made motion to close the Public Hearing at 7:30. Lease seconded the motion. Motion Carried. The City Council Meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Mayor Lease. Members present were: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Schletty, and Smith. Also present were Charles Johnson, City Attorney and Howard Kuusisto, City Engineer. Lease made motion, seconded by LaValle to approve the Supplementary Assess- ment of 6 REC's, 1 Service Connection, total front footage of 202.9 amounting to an assessment of $5,066.10 to be assessed down over the follow- ing parcels: Plat: 35135-6360 1 REC 72.8 front footage 35135-6450 1 Service Charge 50 front footage 35135-6600 2 REC 14 front footage 35135-6650 1 REC 46 front footage 35135-6700 2 REC 20.1 front footage to the Hugo Land Development Company. Motion Carried. A copy of the assessment to be sent to the County Auditor and the Hugo Land Development Company. The minutes of March 3, 1975 were reviewed. Leroux pointed out that the extended meeting time to go beyond 11 :00, motion made by Leroux and second- ed by Lease was omitted. Lease made motion, seconded by Schletty to approve minutes of March 3, 1975 subject to correction as stated. Motion Carried. Lease made motion, seconded by Leroux to approve General Claims of March 17, 1975. Motion Carried. Smith made motion, seconded by LaValle to approve the Utility Claims of March 17, 1975. Motion Carried. Smith made motion, seconded by Schletty to adjust #6 Hugo Feed Mill & Elevator Co. from $153.72 to $71 .25. Motion Carried. Clerk Burkard read a request from Donald Klompenhower asking for street lights in area of 14188 Fondant Ave. Smith made motion, seconded by Lease to deny the request as the block is already sufficiently lit. Motion Carried. A request was read from Victor M. Tholkes asking for sidewalks or install- ing shoulders along Highway 61 for bicycling. Lease made motion seconded by LaValle, to drop the suggestion due to lack of information. Motion Carried. Lease made motion, seconded by Schletty to renew the Mining Permit to Thomas E. LaValle and the conditions are Performance Bond to be left at $15,000, which has already been submitted, and the inspection fee set at $260.00 and add No. 4 "Cross sections and elevations shall be submitted by the applicant on or before November 1 , 1975". Motion Carried.
