APRIL 21 , 1975 MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL j.- .q <br /> TIME: April 21 , 1975 7:10 P.M. <br /> PRESENT: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Smith, Schletty. <br /> Attorney Johnson and Engineer Kuusisto. <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> 3:0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, Smith seconded to approve minutes of the <br /> City Council meeting of April 7, 1975. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Smith and Schletty. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, Smith seconded to approve minutes of <br /> Special Meeting for review of street improvement plans <br /> for sewered area, held April 15, 1975. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Smith and Schletty. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS: <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Smith to approve General <br /> Claims for April 21 , 1975. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Smith and Schletty. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS. REQUESTS. COMMUNICATIONS & LICENSES: <br /> 5.3 A & W ROOT BEER <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, Schletty seconded, to grant a Soft <br /> Drink License and Cigarette License to the A & W Root Beer. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Smith and Schletty. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5.1 AMERICAN LEGION RE: FLAG POLE & MEMORIAL IN CITY PARK <br /> C. Crever and V. Tholkes representing the American Legion Post <br /> requested permission from the Council to install a permanent <br /> flag pole and a memorial plaque honoring all veterans of war. <br /> Flags to be furnished, as needed, by the American Legion Post. <br /> City would have to maintain flag only, raising and lowering daily. <br /> Condidering further expansion of City Hall and possible widening <br /> of street at City Hall, Lease and Schletty volunteered to meet <br /> with Legion to select the best possible permanent location. <br /> 5.2 GERALD DUBE — CITY MAINTAINING ROADWAY <br /> Dube presented Certificate to City Council with five (5) signatures <br /> with their verification stating that the said streets in question, <br /> were maintained and cared for by the former Town of Oneka for more <br />
