There were no <br /> show of hands. Mrs. Ashby moved that the Council do something about <br /> dropping these projects tonight and do something about building up the <br /> roads. She said the water problem on Foxhill was everyones problem. <br /> Judy Parsons - 14936 Francesca Street <br /> Mrs. Parsons said the problem could be solved by building up the roads <br /> and packing them. Felt blacktop wasn't necessary. <br /> Roy Brisson - 5623 142nd Street <br /> Mr. Brisson wanted toknow how many miles of streets were blacktopped before <br /> the sanitary sewer was put in. Mr. Kuusisto said he did not have the exact <br /> figures. <br /> Cedric Goiffon - 14558 Finale <br /> Mr. Goiffon wanted to know is surface drains could be used to drain certain <br /> areas. Mr. Kuusisto said the city is very flat and you have to have a way <br /> of carrying the water away without hindering anyone. <br /> No name <br /> Wanted to know if the comments made tonight would influence the Council. Mr. <br /> Lease stated that it definitely would make a difference and that he already <br /> had an opinion when he saw the cost. Mr. Lease felt that all the streets <br /> should be blacktopped because the gravel from the streets would go into the <br /> sewer and ruin the pumping stations. He said this would probably save money <br /> in the long run. <br /> No name <br /> Stated that old streets were 15' wide and suggested making the new streets <br /> 18' wide. Kuusisto stated that if the drainage project does not go in, the <br /> streets will not have to be so wide. <br /> A question was asked about the assessment on narrower streets. Mr. Lease <br /> thought it would be about $4.00 per foot. <br /> Connie Crever - 5361 145th Street <br /> Mr. Crever would like to see every street in the old village of Hugo <br /> blacktopped. He felt this would solve a lot of the water problem,. <br /> JoAnne Nickos - 150th Street <br /> Mrs. Nickos said she did not move to Hugo to have all the conveniences and <br /> would like to see a shopping center move in to curb the taxes. <br /> George Bernier - 5340 145th Street <br /> Mr. Bernier asked about the old storm sewer on 145th street that was planned <br /> to take care of the north area.
