Eldridge requested Variance to gravel parking lot instead of <br /> blacktopping as the gravel on 130th. would ruin blacktop. <br /> Mr. Tschida called to floor and was questioned about his drain- <br /> age plans and future plans of the Industrial Park. He was also <br /> questioned why he has not lived up to his committments which were <br /> the conditions stated when the park was approved. He stated that <br /> with the sale of the property to Metropolitan Steel he would have <br /> the funds to complete his planning. Council questioned how much <br /> property had to be sold before final plans are submitted and that <br /> this was the same story that they heard two years ago at which <br /> time they had stated no more building would be done until they <br /> could see some progress on eliminating the water. <br /> Mr. Eldridge stated that where he wants to build there is no <br /> water problem. <br /> Attorney Johnson stated that $$5,000 - $6,000 could be put <br /> into escrow toward the purpose of developing the plans. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, Smith seconded to table the <br /> Variance Application until the next Council Meeting <br /> of October 6, 1975. <br /> VOTING FOR: Smith <br /> VOTING AGAINST: LaValle, Leroux, and Schletty. <br /> MOTION DENIED <br /> Councilman Smith accepted a petition from Mrs. S. Ashby, a petition <br /> listing the name of people opposed to the storm sewer. <br /> 5.7 BARTON MINING PERMIT RENEWAL <br /> Clerk stated that there was : 200.00 balance for inspection <br /> fees and that the Certificate of Insurance had been received. <br />
