MAY 3, 1976 51 <br /> 8.0.4 Cont. <br /> past, it was common to just take an easement, buy more recently it <br /> has been accepted practice to take a dedicated deed on the property. <br /> MOTION: Smith made motion, seconded by Schletty, to grant a special <br /> use permit to Vern Peloquin, to build a church and parking <br /> facilities on the Peloquin property, as contained in the <br /> Planning Commission recommendations of March 24, 1976, <br /> adding Condition #9, that the deeds to the road will be <br /> conveyed to the City by July 6, t976, and will not be <br /> officially accepted until all three are on file. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Peloquin would like to meet with Engineer and a Council member re- <br /> garding the water situation beyond the church property. Due to the <br /> heavy amount of excavation in the 148th Street area, Peloquin re- <br /> quested an extension of time beyond December 31 , 1976 for blacktopping <br /> the road. Letter of credit to be extended to cover the period. Any <br /> extension of time to be determined at a later date. <br /> Lester Winter thanked the council for all the work they have done <br /> on the project. <br /> 9.0.1 Police Chief - New Secretary <br /> MOTION: Schletty made motion, seconded by Leroux, to approve the <br /> appointment of Jeanette A. Charpentier, as police secre- <br /> tary at a starting salary of $2.50 per hour, with an increase <br /> to $3.00 per hour after probationary period is served. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Police Chief stated he had purchased a used chair for his office <br /> to replace broken chair, at a cost of $40. Told to submit to Clerk <br /> for payment out of police funds. <br /> MOTION: Smith made motion, seconded by Schletty, to accept the <br /> resignation of Jan Ion as police secretary, effective May <br /> 14, 1976, and for clerk to send letter to her thanking <br /> her for her good work. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Police Chief stated new police car was shipped April 26th and should <br /> arrive in next day or two. <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Smith, to adjourn meeting <br /> at 11 :00 P.M. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Lernux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Clerk, City of Hugo <br />
