5 RECESS - 9:25 P.M. - RECONVENE - 9:43 P.M. <br /> Land Division - Babcock <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve land <br /> division for Marvin and Mary Jane Babcock for Tracts 3 <br /> and 7, 10150 and 10117 Kerry Court North. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 7.0 CLERK <br /> Notification received from state Department of Highitays regarding <br /> review of traffic signs and painted pavement along Trunk Highway <br /> 61 in Hugo - feels some changes are desireable. <br /> MOTION: Smith made motion, seconded by Schletty, to refer the <br /> matter of proposed Highway Department chages along Hwy. <br /> 61 to the City Engineer for his study and recommendation. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Notification received of public hearing to be held by the Minnesota <br /> Power & Light Company in Centerville on May 17, 1976 regarding <br /> proposed power line through the Hugo area. Lease will send letter <br /> regarding this matter. <br /> Clerk stated that a summertime CETA employee is available if de- <br /> sired. Irene Leroux will investigate possibility of obtaining <br /> summer employee for running a recreational program for children. <br /> 7.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS <br /> 7.0.1 Junk Yard License amendment to Ordinance <br /> Attorney to have ready for May 17th meeting. <br /> Engineer feels Hugo should not lift road restrictions until May 15th. <br /> 8.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 8.0.1 Joe Gregoire - drainage system <br /> Gregoire informed that his system still is not adequate-Owner <br /> has comented up septic tank - now meets code-must install either <br /> drainfields or seepage pit before it will pass inspection. Gre- <br /> goire says he hasn't had time to put drainfields in, but will try <br /> to get them in this week; will then call buildinginspector to <br /> inspect. Inspector told to notify Council if it isn't done by the <br /> next meeting. <br /> 8.0.2 Oak Shore Park - Al Lemker - Roads <br /> Lamker is chairman of committee formed to represent people of <br /> Oak Shore Park regarding road improvements. Lease said Engineer has <br /> looked at the situation and there is still a lot of mud there. <br /> A major project is needed on Europa and Ethan involving extensive <br /> ditching and road repair. A timetable is not yet established for <br /> making the necessary repairs. <br /> 8.0.3 Washington County Highway Contract <br /> Tabled until special meeting of May 11 , 1976. <br /> 8.0.4 Shepherd of Fields - street construction <br /> Lester Winter said church is willing to pay 1/3 of the cost of <br /> buildin 148th Street between Freeland and westquarter o church pro- <br /> erty - total cost of approximately $2,100 to $2,500. Vern Peloquin <br /> is willing to pasr an additional 1/3 of the cost and Mr. Winter <br /> asked the City to pay the remaining 1 . Lease said City has offered <br /> to pay for water extension and he doesn't fe cl city has money avail- <br /> able to pay 1/3 the street cost-Schletty said he would like to re- <br /> serve comment until after the road meeting on May 11 , 1976. Peloquin <br /> presented Letter of Credit for $7,500.00 for his share of the road. <br /> James Kurth, land surveyor notified City there is a land lock pro- <br /> blem. Attorney said it could be solved by deeding road to City or <br /> by a committment to have the road built and conveyed later. In the <br />
