MAY 17, 1976 MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL 53 TIME: 7:09 P.M. PRESENT: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES MOTION: Lease made motion, Smith seconded, to approve the minutes of the May 11 , 1976 Special meeting, after correcting them to include the review of the findings of blacktop for Ethan Avenue. VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. MOTION CARRIED 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Leroux, to approve the General Claims of May 17, 1976. VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. MOTION CARRIED APPROVAL OF UTILITY CLAIMS MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Leroux, to approve the Utility Claims of May 17, 1976. VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. MOTION CARRIED MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Schletty, to pay the Washington County Treasurer and pay for the new squad car out of Revenue Sharing Funds. VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. MOTION CARRIED 5.0 PETITIONS. REQUESTS. COMMUNICATIONS & LICENSES 5.1 JIM WISNER. LIONS CLUB Mayor Lease read the following proclamation for Good Neighbor Days: TO ALL GOOD CITIZENS OF HUGO AND OUR SURROUNDING GOOD NEIGHBORS: BE IT PROCLAIMED - THAT THE WEEKEND OF JUNE 11 - 12 - and 13 BE HEREBY DESIGNATED AS THE 9TH ANNUAL GOOD NEIGHBOR DAYS - AND THAT ALL GOOD CITIZENS JOIN IN THE FUN OF MAKING THIS ANNUAL EVENT A SUCCESS IN BEAUTIFUL DOWNTOWN HUGO. 5.2 R. BURKARD. WATER SUPERINTENDENT Re: Traeger's Second Addition - Lots 1 ,2,3, and 4, Flay Avenue - Bid price for installing 3" watermain service, complete in place -4.57 per foot or approximately $300 for a 50' lot. One lot already sold and basement under construction, to be installed before black- topping begins. EiOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Smith to instruct the Water Superintendent to install the water connections on the existing watermain lines on Lots ,1 , 2, 3, and 4, Flay Avenue, Traeger's Second Addition as a maximum cost of $300.00 per lot. VOTING FOR: Lease, Leroux, Schletty, and Smith. MOTION CARRIED 5.3 MARY ANN COMPTON - DOG COMPLAINT Asked why Hugo doesn't have a leash law-has complained about neighbor's dogs - police maintain they have no place to pond them - Mayor said it is a police problem - Hugo does have an emergency service avail- able to us - operated by Dean Good, Stacy, Minnesota - police may avail themselves of it for continual nuisances - Mr$. Compton told to file a complaint with the Police Department - LaValle will talk to the Police Department regarding the problem.
