Table III lists the required bottom area assuming twelve ( 12) inches of filter material below the distribution pipe. The required bottom area may be reduced, for trenches only, by the following percentages: T14ent.y .(20) -percent for eighteen ( 18) inches of filter material below the pipe, and thirty-four (34) percent for twenty-four (24) inches. In all insstances the filter material shall extend a minimum of two (2) inches above the distribution pipe. 2. System location: a.
