1 <br /> ( 1 ) Gravity distribution ' <br /> (a ) Four (4 ) inch distribution pipes shall be <br /> rigid plastic with one-half ( 1/2) inch <br /> minimum diameter holes spaced no further than <br /> thirty-six (36 ) inches apart. Pipe shall be <br /> placed with one ( 1 ) row of holes at the <br /> bottom of the pipe. <br /> ( b) Distribution pipe shall slope downward , two <br /> (2) inches per one hundred ( 100) feet away <br /> from the distribution box , spaced no further <br /> than five ( 5) feet apart and no further than <br /> thirty (30) inches from the edge of the <br /> filter material . <br /> (c ) The outer ends of the distribution pipe shall <br /> be connected ' <br /> (d ) Distribution pipes shall be connected to the <br /> outlets of a distribution box . <br /> (e) The quantity of effluentdelivered to the <br /> distribution system per pump dose shall be at <br /> least twenty-five (25) percent of the daily <br /> sewage flow. <br /> ( f ) Gravity distribution shall be permitted only <br /> where soils existing at the mound location <br /> have Percolation Rates of sixty (60) minutes <br /> per inch or faster. <br /> (2) Pressure distribution . <br /> ( a) Perforations shall be as required by <br /> Table I . Holes shall be cleanly drilled , <br /> straight into pipe, and not angled . <br /> ( b) Perforated pipe laterals shall be connected <br /> to a two (2) inch diameter manifold pipe, <br /> with ends capped . Laterals shall be spaced <br /> no more than forty (40) inches on center and <br /> no further than twenty (20) inches from the <br /> edge of the filter material . <br /> (c ) The perforated pipe laterals shall be <br /> installed level with perforations downward . <br /> (d ) Manifold pipe shall be connected to the <br /> supply pipe from the pump. Manifold shall be <br /> sloped downward toward the supply pipe. <br /> , <br /> d .
