Straw or hay, to an uncompacted depth of three ( 3) to <br /> four (4) inches, or other approved permeable material <br /> shall be placed over the entire filter material area <br /> . <br /> f ' Construction vehicles shall not be allowed on the <br /> filter material until backfill is placed . <br /> g . Sandy loam soil shall be placed over the covered filter <br /> material to a minimum depth of twelve ( 12) inches at <br /> the center of the mound and six (6) inches at the <br /> edges. <br /> h. A maximum of two (2) ten ( 10) foot wide beds may be <br /> installed side bY side in a single mound if the soil <br /> Percolation Rate is between five ( 5) and sixty (60) <br /> minutes per inch to a depth of at least twenty-four <br /> (24) inches below the sand layer. Beds shall be <br /> separated by four (4) feet of sand . <br /> i . Where two (2) beds are installed side by side, the <br /> sandy loam covering fill shall be placed to a depth of <br /> eighteen ( 18) inches at the center of the mound and six <br /> (6) inches at the edges. <br /> j . Six (6) inches to topsoil shall be placed on the fill <br /> material over the entire area of the mound and grass <br /> cover established as soon as possible. <br /> k . No shrubs or trees shall be planted on the top of the <br /> mound. Shrubs may be planted on the side slopes and at <br /> the foot of the mound . <br /> I . Side slopes on the completed mound shall be no steeper <br /> than three (3) to one ( 1 ) . <br /> m. Surface run-off from areas adjacent to the mound shall <br /> be diverted away from the mound by construction of <br /> appropriate diversion structures. <br /> 502'03- Collector systems. On previously developed sites, where <br /> site and soil conditions do not provide suitable conditions for final <br /> treatment and disposal on an individual Lot, a Soil Treatment System <br /> located on another lot or lots may be employed under terms approved <br /> by the Governing Body. <br /> ( 1 ) General conditions. <br /> a. Collector systems designed to serve fifteen ( 15) <br /> dwelling units or five thousand ( 5,000) gallons of <br /> waste per day` whichever is less, shall require <br /> • ! application for and issuance of a state disposal <br /> system permit from the MPCA. <br /> 33 <br />�m� <br />
