The trench system shall be located on the highest <br /> feasible area of the lot and shall have location <br /> precedence over all other improvements except the <br /> water supply well . <br /> d . The bottom of all trenches shall be at an <br /> elevation no lower than the elevation designated <br /> as the ten ( 10) year flood occurrence. <br /> e. Where topography permits, sewage tanks may be <br /> installed to provide gravity flow to the soil <br /> treatment area. <br /> f . Pumping stations shall be installed so as to <br /> prevent the pump from operating when inundated by <br /> flood waters. <br /> g . On Lots where the principal structure complies <br /> with requirements for a floodproofed building , <br /> fill may be placed to bring the soil treatment <br /> area up to the required elevation . Provisions of <br /> 501 '02 shall apply to fill . <br /> h. When the top of the Sewage Tank is inundated <br /> during floods, the dwelling must cease discharge <br /> of Sewage into it. This may be accomplished by <br /> temporary evacuation of the dwelling until flood <br /> waters recede or by diverting sewage to a Holding <br /> Tank sized and installed according to the <br /> requirements of 502.06 ( 1 ) j . <br /> i . The Building Sewer shall be designed to prevent <br /> back flow of liquid into the building when the <br /> system is inundated . If a Holding Tank is <br /> installed for temporary diversion use, the <br /> Building Sewer shall be designed to provide rapid <br /> diversion of Sewage into the Holding Tank when the <br /> system is inundated . <br /> j . Where a Holding Tank is used under provisions of <br /> this section , its capacity shall be equal to one <br /> hundred ( 100) gallons times the number of Bedrooms <br /> times the number of days between the ten ( 10) year <br /> stage on the rising limb of the Regional Flood <br /> Hydrograph and the ten ( 10) year stage on the <br /> falling limb, or one thousand ( 1 ,000) gallons, <br /> whichever is greater. <br /> k . Whenever the water level has reached a stage above <br /> the top of the Sewage Tank , the tank shall , before <br /> being returned to use, be pumped to remove all <br /> solids and liquids. <br /> .
