. ,t <br /> (2) Capacity ' <br /> �- � <br /> a' Sewage Holding Tanks shall have a minimum capacity <br /> of one thousand two hundred ( 1 ,200) gallons or <br /> four hundred (400) gallons times the number of <br /> Bedrooms for a Dwelling Unit, whichever is <br /> greater. <br /> b. For Other Establishments, capacity shall be based <br /> on measured or estimated flow rates. Minimum <br /> capacity shall be equal to at least eight (8) <br /> times the daily flow rate. <br /> c . Water use metering shall be required for each <br /> Dwelling Unit or other establishment served by a <br /> Holding Tank . <br /> 3. Service and maintenance. <br /> a. Where Holding Tanks are installed , the owner shall <br /> provide and maintain a contract with a licensed <br /> pumper, providing for regular pumping of the tank. <br /> b. Records of pumping data, to include dates, <br /> quantities and septage disposal location , shall be <br /> maintained by the pumping contractor and reported <br /> quarterly to the Permitting Authority' <br /> c ' Holding Tanks shall be provided with alarm or <br /> warning devices which will activate a signal when <br /> the tank reaches seventy-five (75) percent of its <br /> capacity. <br /> d . The permitting authority shall be provided right <br /> of access to perform periodic maintenance and <br /> operational inspections of the system. <br /> 502.06. Floodplain systems. Installation of Individual on-site <br /> Sewage Treatment Systems in areas subject to recurrent flooding is <br /> prohibited except as provided herein . <br /> ( 1 ) Where Ten ( 10) Year Flood occurrence data is available <br /> from and/or approved by the State of Minnesota, DNR, <br /> Individual Sewage Treatment Systems may be considered <br /> subject to the following : <br /> a. Every portion of an individual on-site sewage <br /> Treatment System installed in a Floodplain area <br /> shall comply with all other codes, ordinances, and <br /> regulations applicable to Shorelands, Floodplains, <br /> wild and scenic rivers and general Zoning ' <br /> b' The soil treatment area shall be a Standard trench <br /> � | System with no pipe or other opening installed <br /> ^ ~ between the filter material and the ground <br /> surface. <br /> 37 <br /> 2 � <br />
