ORDINANCE NUMBER 108
<br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGEMENT,
<br />ALTERATION, REPAIR, MOVING, REMOVAL, CONVERSION, DEMOLITION, OCCUPANCY,
<br />EQUIPMENT, USE, HEIGHT, AREA, AND MAINTENANCE OF BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES
<br />IN THE VILLAGE OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA; PROVIDING FOR
<br />THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES THEREFOR; PROVIDING
<br />PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND
<br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
<br />The Village Council.of the Village of Hugo, Washington County, Minnesota,
<br />hereby ordains:
<br />Section 1. ADOPTION OF MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE. For the
<br />purpose of regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration,
<br />repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, occupancy, equipment,
<br />use, height, area, and maintenance of buildings or structures in the
<br />Village of Hugo, Washington County, Minnesota, and for providing for
<br />the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and for pro-
<br />viding penalties for the violation thereof; the Minnesota State Building
<br />Code is hereby adopted as filed with the Secretary of State and the
<br />Commissioner of Administration January 6, 1972, and effective July 1,
<br />1972, of which not less than three copies are on file in the office
<br />of the Village Clerk. Said Minnesota State Building Code is hereby
<br />adopted in its entirety.
<br />Section 2. ORGANIZATION AND ENFORCEMENT. The provisions of
<br />Appendix D, entitled.."Organization and Enforcement", said Appendix D
<br />being appended to said Minnesota State Building Code, of which not
<br />less than three copies are on file in the office of the Village Clerk,
<br />is hereby adopted in its entirety, except that paragraph 2 (f), entitled
<br />"Occupancy Violations" be deleted, and paragraph 4, entitled "Board of
<br />Appeals" be deleted.
<br />Section 3. PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS. The provisions of Appendix
<br />E, entitled "Permits and Inspections", said Appendix E being appended
<br />to said Minnesota State Building Code, of which not less than three
<br />copies are on file in the office of the Village Clerk, is hereby adopted
<br />in its entirety, except that paragraph 3, entitled "Fees" be deleted
<br />in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following:
<br />3. Fees
<br />A. Fees and charges shall be due and payable upon
<br />initial application for permit, and shall
<br />be collected from the applicant for said permit.
<br />B. In all instances where circumstances require
<br />that applications for permit be denied, a refund
<br />shall be made to the applicant in an amount equal
<br />to the original fee, less the amount of ten ($10.00)
<br />dollars.
