• <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE NUMBER /4/ 7e <br /> AN ORDINANCE REGULATING DRIVEWAYS AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR <br /> THE VIOLATION THEREOF. <br /> The City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington County, Minnes- <br /> ota ordains as follows: <br /> 82-1. PURPOSE AND DEFINITIONS. <br /> Subd. A. Purpose. The purpose of this regulation is <br /> to establish certain optimum design specifi- <br /> cations for driveways providing a means of <br /> ingress and egress from private property <br /> located along and adjacent to the right of <br /> way of the city street system of Hugo, Minn- <br /> esota. <br /> Subd. B. Definitions. For the purposes of these regu- <br /> lations the terms shall have the meanings <br /> given them: <br /> (1) City Street System. This shall include <br /> all City Roadway systems under the juris- <br /> diction of the City of Hugo. <br /> (2) Street Classification. In the absence of <br /> an established classification, the follow- <br /> ing definitions shall govern. <br /> (aa) Urban District. Urban district means <br /> those properties contiguous to the <br /> City Street system of Hugo, Minnesota, <br /> including any street, that are built <br /> up with structures devoted to busi- <br /> ness, industry or dwelling houses <br /> where such structures are situated <br /> at intervals of one hundred (100) feet <br /> or less, for a distance of one quarter <br /> (1/4) of a mile or more. <br /> (bb) Rural District. Rural district means <br /> all other locations not meeting the <br /> urban district definition. <br /> (cc) Major Street. Any road that has an <br /> average annual daily traffic volume <br /> of one thousand (1000) vehicles or <br /> greater. <br /> (dd) Minor Street. Any road that has an <br /> average annual daily traffic volume <br /> less than one thousand (1000) vehicles. <br /> -1- <br />
