4ULY 19, 1976 MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE IUGO CITY COUNCIL <br /> TIME: 7:08 P.M. <br /> PRESENT: LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> ABSENT: Lease <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Smith, to approve the <br /> minutes of the July 6, 1976 meeting. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Leroux made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve the <br /> minutes of the special joint meeting of the City Council <br /> and Planning Commission on July 13, 1976. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> LaValle noted Item #4 should come out of the Sanitary Sewer Const- <br /> ruction Fund - $300.00 to move hydrant and $300.00 to repair three <br /> curb boxes and rods. $300.00 to repair three curb boxes and rods <br /> to be billed to Shafer for reimbursement to the City. <br /> MOTION: Smith made motion, seoonded by Leroux, to approve the <br /> General Claim of July 19, 1976. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION:t LaValle made motion, seconded by Smith, to approve the <br /> Utility Claims of July 19, 1976. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Leroux, to approve payment <br /> of $92,227.63 to Shafer Contracting Company on the Street <br /> Improvement Project; to be paid out of Sanitary Sewer <br /> Construction Fund. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Leroux, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Bill for $14,403.81 has been received from RoSo Contracting Company. <br /> Approval has been received from City Engineer's Office. Discussed <br /> borrowing $18,000.00 to $20,000.00 from the water sinking fund on <br /> a six month basis as a temporary arrangement. Treasurer said there <br /> is $68,000.00 in the fund; owe approximately $28,000.00 so the <br /> loan would present no financial problem. Another alternative would <br /> be to sell temporary improvement bonds. City Attorney would like to <br /> discuss the matter with Bob Ehlers first will invite Mr. Ehlers to <br /> attend special meeting on July 26th. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Leroux, to delay the payment <br /> of $14,403.81 to RoSo Contracting Company Until the special <br /> meeting on July 26, 1976. Clerk instructed to inform RoSo <br /> of the delay. <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS. REQUESTS. COMMUNICATIONS AND LECENSES <br /> MOBILE HOME PERMIT RENEWAL - JAMES JOHNSON <br /> Council has previously asked for proof of disability - furnished <br /> a physician's report. Present occupants of the trailer are a couple <br /> who both work full time and help him in the morning and evening with <br /> the care of his thirteen horses, some chickens, ducks and geese, <br /> and care of his approximately 29 acres, on which he is growing field <br /> and sweet corn. LaValle and Smith voiced objections to renewal say- <br /> ing Johnson is using the ordinance in a manner contrary to the way <br />
