Ott <br /> AUGUST 16, 1976 MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br /> TIPS: 7:10 P.M. <br /> PRESENT: Lease, LaValle, Schletty and Smith. <br /> ABSENT: Leroux. <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL ON MINUTES <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve the <br /> minutes of the August 2, 1976 meeting after adding the <br /> words, "payments, a loan of six months" on page seven. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve the <br /> General Claims of August 16, 1976 after deleting Item #4 <br /> and after adding $5,765.14, payment to Washington County <br /> Highway Department for the months of May, June, and July, <br /> 1976. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Smith, to approve the Utility <br /> Claims of August 16, 1976. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS. REQUESTS. COMMUNICATIONS AND LICENSES <br /> RESIGNATION -• DEPUTY CLERK <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Schletty, to accept the <br /> resignation of Mary Jane Babcock, Deputy Clerk, effective <br /> September 15, 1976. Clerk instructed to advertise for a <br /> replacement. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> DENNIS BURDICK - SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br /> Matter tabled until second meeting in September per applicants <br /> request, to give him time to discuss matter with his attorney. <br /> Clerk instructed to notify Burdick he is on the agenda for the <br /> September 20, 1976 meeting. <br /> MICHAEL PETERSON - 1 .1 Acre lot in Biesang Addition <br /> Michael Peterson, who has paid earnest money on a 1 .1 acre lot in <br /> the Biesang Addition, appeared to determine whether or not a building <br /> permit could be issued on that parcel. Council informed him that <br /> it is an unbuildable lot due to it's size. <br /> ALDINE ANDERSON - Refund of Rezoning Fee <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Smith, to refund $50.00 <br /> rezoning fee paid by Aldine Anderson, who was one of the <br /> fifteen persons who requested rezoning prior to the adop- <br /> tion of the new zoning ordinance on December 30, 1974. He <br /> made a new request and paid the $50.00 fee on July 6, 1976, <br /> and subsequently learned that the cost for surveying was <br /> prohibitive and withdrew his application. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Schletty and Smith. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.0 REPORTS OF OFFICERS & COMMITTEES <br /> 6.1 SANITARY SEWER DISPOSAL ORDINANCE <br /> City Attorney distributed copies of the new Sanitary Sewer Disposal <br /> Ordinance. Council will study and take action on it at the next <br /> meeting. Building Inspector instructed to review and make his re- <br /> commendations at the next meeting. <br />
