9 n Clerk read advertisement for bids for waterline project 1976-1 <br /> 11 Engineer Kuusisto proceeded to read the following bids submitted <br /> for Project 1976-1 : <br /> J & T Contracting - $7,636.00 <br /> De-Luxe Construction - NO BID <br /> Axel Newman Heating & Plumbing - $7,852. 40 <br /> Shafer Contracting Company - NO BID <br /> Roland D. McLean Construction - $6,305.00 <br /> Walbon's - $8,041 .50 <br /> Enviromental Utilities, Inc. - $7,992.50 <br /> LaValle Excavating - $5,653.44 <br /> Engineer Kuusisto wanted to review the bids, and would report later <br /> on in the meeting. <br /> JUNE SMITH - Renewal of Special Use Permit <br /> The extension will be granted until January 1 , 1977. However, the <br /> septic system must be pumped prior to October 15, 1976. The Plumbing <br /> inspector requested to inspect the on-site sewer system at the <br /> applicant's expense. <br /> MOTION: Schletty made motion, seconded by Lease, to approve the renewal <br /> of the Special Use Permit as long as septic system is pumped <br /> as needed. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty <br /> ABSTAINED: Leroux <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> RAY PELTIER - Disbanding of noon and 10 P.M. siren <br /> Mr. Peltier presented to the clerk a petition from local <br /> residents regarding the noise of Hugo's emergency siren. <br /> He stated that the children are disturbed because of the <br /> 10 P.M. siren. Because of the removal of diseased elm trees, <br /> there is no longer anything to cushion the noise. The Eire _ <br /> Chief said he would like to see the siren sounded at least <br /> once a day to make sure the siren is operating correctly. <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Smith, to table the matter <br /> until the City Council meeting of September 20, 1976. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty and Leroux <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Gregoire Mobile Home Renewal <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Leroux, to approve the re- <br /> newal f°r mobile home for 3 month period. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty and Leroux <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Vail Bond <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Smith, that Mr. Vail is to <br /> come to the meeting on September 20, 1976, to show the <br /> work schedule for the start and completion of the blacktop <br /> road. Clerk instructed to write letter to Vail stating such. <br /> The bonding company has been notified that the city may call <br /> in the bond. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty and Leroux <br /> MOTION /CARRIED <br /> Engineer Kuusisto returned with bids, recommending that the contract <br /> be awarded to LaValle Excavating and holding the second and third bids_ <br /> Walbon's check for $500.00 to be returned by registered mail, and <br /> bids should be returned by certified mail. <br />
