5.0 PETITIONS. REQUESTS. COMMUNICATIONS AND LICENSES
5.1 RAY PELTIER - Disbanding of noon and 10 P.M. Siren
Mr. Jack Perron, head of the Rescue Unit, stated that in his opinion,
the only alternative to the siren would be thepurcha ing of pocket
pagers at a cost of approximately $320.00 each. At this time there
are 30 firemen. A local resident, Tike Macalester, asked if someone
would look into the possibility of two alternatives to the present
situation: (1 ) shortening the length of the siren, or (2) possibly
changing the 10 P.M. siren to an earlier time. The present 10 P.M.
siren was probably initiated for a curfew time.
