1:1 () The Sunset Lake easement contract is being worked on for signature
from Louis Mastroddi and Arnie Gruet.
The Fischer Construction Company's lease will run out in December,
1977. Their postion was that they could not guarantee availability
and access to the land if their lease had expired and could not
be renewed. The change to the Agreement that would call for complete
removal by the end of December of 1977, rather than by October of
1978, would require additional Council action. An addendum was filed
by Fischer and presented to the Council. If they cannot get their lease
renewed, they will give the city 30 days to remove the gravel.
MOTION: Lease made motion, seconded by Smith, to approve the addendum
for the purchase of gravel from Fischer Construction Company
at a fee of $4,500.00
VOTING FOR: Lease, Smith, Schletty, LaValle, and Leroux
MOTION CARRIED
6.9 Engineer
Mr. Kuusisto inspected the mining site for Indykiewicz Mining Permit
No. 5. The site has been improved and, in general, is satisfactory.
The north area that previously had ponding areas has been filled,
grade, and seeded. A considerable amount of work has been completed,
therefore, the site conditions are approved.
The drainage plan submitted by Advanced Fiberglass, Inc. , was not
complete. Councilman LaValle stated that they should not receive
a permit for anything until they give a drainage plan. Mr. Kuusisto
suggested that provisions would be incorporated with the grading
of Farnham Avenue to provide drainage for Advanced Fiberglass, Inc.
Mr. Husnik submited plan for drainage for Vern Peloquin Industrial
site. Deeds turned over to City Attorney, Charles Johnson. Easement
extended over Vern Peloquin's property so water can reach proper
outlet.
7.0 Clerk
A list was submitted to Council showing parties who have and have
not paid their SAC charge, and those who have not pulled a permit.
No action to be taken until matter is studied further.
- Meeting recessed 9:14 P.M. - Reconvened 9:29 P.M. -
Mrs. Hazel would like to get a variance for the building of her
garage. Set back should be 40' from property line, but she would
like it to be 20' because of the angle of her property. Mr. Tom
Crever, Building Inspector, is to investigate the matter, and
Mrs.; Hazel is to apply for a variance.
7.0 ORDINANCES AND RESULUTIONS - No discussion.
8.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS
8.1 Howard Moe - Shepherd of the Fields (Vern Pelaauin)
Mr. Moe feels there is some reason of concern regarding a possible
water problem on his property. He suggested that the city install
a ditch to drain his water to the east. The matter was presented to
the Engineer, Mr. Kuusisto, for study for a possible outlet to the
north.
9.0 NE< BWashing
r Lon County purchase right of way land - 145th St.
The county would like the City of Hugo to purchase two parcels of
land (one 40' , and one 41 ' ) . They would charge the price of the
sewer assessment (995.00) plus $1 .00. Otherwise, they will open
for bids. The City Council was not interested, and Councilman
LaValle was instructed to notify of such.
