The matter of how to charge <br /> for the application and permit has not as yet been resolved. <br /> 9.0 NEW BUSINESS <br /> 9.1 Designate Official Newspaper - Written letters were submitted by the <br /> White Bear Press and the Forest Lake Times. Spitzer stated that he would <br /> like to see the total circulation of these papers in the City of Hugo to be <br /> reviewed at the time of designation next year. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, naming the Forest Lake <br /> Times as Hugo's official newspaper. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Schletty, Spitzer, Irsfeld, and Vail. MOTION CARRIED <br /> City Council Laisonnto Planning Commission <br /> Mayor LaValle felt that we should appoint a Planning Commission member that <br /> could be contacted if needed. He did not feel it was necessary to have a <br /> councilman attend every Planning Commission meeting. Spitzer diagreed stating <br /> that it is a hindrance to the Planning Commission to not have a member. He <br /> would be aware of broader ranging problems. Newly appointed Planning Commi- <br /> ssion Chairman, Larry Ehret, agreed with Dan Spitzer stating there should <br /> be much more active participation than in the past. Ehret felt that one meet- <br /> ing a month would be sufficient, and in turn, have a Planning Commission <br /> member attend City Council meetings. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by LaValle, that the City Council <br /> appoint Larry Irsfeld as laison to the Planning Commission, <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Schletty, Spitzer, Irsfeld, and Vail. MOTION CARRIED <br />
