<br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Mayor LaValle.
<br /> PRESENT: LaValle, Schletty, and Vail
<br /> ABSENT: Spitzer and Irsfeld
<br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Vail, to approve the minutes of
<br /> June 20, 1977, after the following change is made: Page 6, para-
<br /> graph 1 should read - beyond that of citizen assist to the Police
<br /> Department Reserves.
<br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Schletty, and Vail
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve the general claims of
<br /> July 5,1977, as presented.
<br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Schletty, and Vail
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve the utility claims
<br /> of July 5, 1977, as presented.

<br /> 5.0 PETITIONS. REQUESTS. COMMUNICATIONS & LICENSES
<br /> 5.1 William Hopkins - Transfer of liquor license
<br /> William and Thomas Hopkins were present, and they were told that a police check would
<br /> have to be made before transfer could be made. The attorney suggested that they
<br /> have partnership agreement ready for the July 18th meeting.
<br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Schletty, to table Hopkins liquor
<br /> license transfer until July 18, 1977.
<br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Schletty, and Vail
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> 5.2 Gerald Stollech - Nashville North (Cancelled)
<br /> 5.3 Robert Juran. Sr. - Farm Site Plan
<br /> MOTION: Schletty made motion, seconded by Vail, to approve the Farm Site Plan
<br /> for Robert Juran, Sr., on County Road 8 for a new steel building, re-
<br /> placing the barn that burned down.
<br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Schletty, and Vail
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> 5.4 Fischer Construction - MininR Permit
<br /> Charles Johnson suggested that the letter of application and permit be sent to the
<br /> bonding company indicating the terms of the license.
<br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Schletty, thct the Mining Permit be
<br /> granted to Fischer Construction until June 1, 1978 subject to the conditions
<br /> as they were in the last year's application except Item 4 to be changed
<br /> that the haul road will be blacktopped from Irish Avenue with 2" wearing
<br /> course from Washington County 8A into the pit, and the bonding company
<br /> should be notified of such.

<br /> 5.5 Sylvester Nistler - Variance
<br /> The Planning Commission recomended approval.
<br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, seconded by Schletty, to grant a variance to Sylvester
<br /> Nistler to build within 8 feet of lot line.
<br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Schletty, and Vail
<br /> MOTION CARRIED
<br /> 5.6 Richard Schuh - Minim Permit
<br /> Richard Hiniker represented Richard Schuh asking that the City Council be aware
<br /> that they might be needing an amendment to their permit to include a hot mix plant.
<br /> At this time, they have no definite commitments. To get an amended permit, Schuh
<br /> would have to go through the Planning Commission.
