<br /> The Planning Commission recommended denial of Mr. Mussehl's request.
<br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the request of
<br /> Mr. Charles Mussehl for a Special Use Permit be denied for the
<br /> following reasons:
<br /> 1. Lack of suitable parking, either owned or public,
<br /> 2. Condition of the building,
<br /> 3. Opposition of local residents, and
<br /> 4. Traffic problems.

<br /> 5.6 George Crockett — Variance
<br /> Mr. Crockett wishes to add on to his present residence, along the same foundation.
<br /> Mr. Crockett's property is 5i feet from the property line.
<br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the application
<br /> for Variance from George Crockett, be approved, to add 15 feet to
<br /> his present residence.

<br /> Councilmen Irsfeld and Vail interviewed men on Friday, July 15, to fill the vacancy
<br /> for a supervisor for the CETA program. They wanted Council action so that the new
<br /> employee could start July 19, 1977.
<br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the City of Hugo
<br /> hire Leonard Schrofer to fill the opening for the CETA program,
<br /> commencing July 19, 1977.
<br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail

<br /> Mr. Frank Murray, attorney for Rice Creek Watershed, called City Hall requesting
<br /> the use of the Hall for a public hearing to be held on September 7, 1977, at 7:30 P.M.
<br /> The Council approved of the request, for public hearing on Horseshoe Drainage Plan.

<br /> 8.1 Jim Husnik — Water connection
<br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, that Mr. Robert Burkard,
<br /> Water Superintendent, be authorized to install the water services
<br /> on Flay Avenue and 141st Street, as they are necessary.
<br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail

<br /> 8.2 Gordon Zinschlag — Septic System
<br /> Mr. Zinschlag lives on Sunset Lake, and his present septic system is not functioning
<br /> correctly. He would like to instatli a new drain field, however there is insufficient
<br /> land available to build according to code, which is 1001 from the shore line. Mr.
<br /> Zinschlag will have to get a permit from Rice Creek Watershed.
<br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that if after a perc test
<br /> and soil borings are made, and anew drain field will improve the
<br /> present septic system, the City of Hugo will go along with the pro—
<br /> posed change, along with approval from Rice Creek.

<br /> Mr. Robert Burkard was presented a plaque for citation from CC Ludwig for out—
<br /> standing work in the community. Mayor LaValle expressed his personal thanks for
<br /> all the work done by Mr. Burkard for Hugo.
<br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by LaValle, to ammend the previous
<br /> motion to set public hearing for Mobile HH.ie Petition to 8:00 P.M.
