7 TION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, to table the letting <br /> of squad car equipment bids until the next meeting of September 19, 1977. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.7 Attorney <br /> Mr. Johnson submitted his written report. The City Council was instructed to have <br /> their comments regarding their appeal of the Systems Statement ready for the meeting <br /> of September 19, 1977. Mr. Johnson suggested that the city take a neutral attitude <br /> in regard to the applicaion of the full—time police officers to join the union. If <br /> there is any plan for any wage increases, they should not be considered at budget time. <br /> Mr. Schletty stated that there are persons using the White Bear Rod & Gun Club for <br /> shooting hand traps. Mr. Johnson will review the Special Use Permit as it was reissued, <br /> and the court order. It wasdetermined that this would be considered a civil matter. <br /> 6.8 Engineer <br /> The Metro Waste Control Commission has contacted Mr. Kuusisto asking for permission <br /> to realign there construction on Elmcrest Avenue between the trees and the road, for <br /> the Centerville interceptor. They claimed the realignment could be done without des— <br /> troying any trees. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to extend time of <br /> adjournment for 2 hour. <br /> All aye. Motion carried. <br /> Engineer — cont. <br /> LaValle stated that the letter of credit for $25,000.00 will not put the road <br /> back into its same condition. It was felt that the realignment would extend into <br /> the road surface. Mr. Kuusisto was instructed to inform the Metro Waste Control <br /> Commission that they would be liable for the following: <br /> 1. Road restroration <br /> 2. An additional letter of credit of $25,000.00 <br /> 3. Maintenance of traffic <br /> 4. Supervision <br /> 5. All excavation to be hauled off the site, and additional granular material <br /> be brought in. <br /> 7.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS — no discussion <br /> 8.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 8.1 Barton Contracting <br /> Councilman Schletty stated that Barton has agreed with the city's second proposal. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Vail, that the City of Hugo enter <br /> into a contract with Barton Contracting for the purchase of gravel. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br />
