OCTOBER 17, 1977 1. 0 7 <br /> 7.1 Recommendation from Planning Commission regarding commercial/recreation activities <br /> in Am and Cons Districts cont. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Vail, that it is the concensus <br /> of the City Council that commercial/recreation activities in the <br /> Agriculture and Conservancy Districts stand as printed in the <br /> current Zoning Ordinance. All requests will be handled by <br /> Special Use Permit. <br /> VOTING FOR: Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 7.2 Reschedule public hearing for abolishing the rural tax district <br /> MOTION: Schletty made motion, seconded by Vail, to schedule a public hear- <br /> ing and special meeting of the City Council for November 28, 1977, <br /> at 7:00 PM, at the Hugo Elementary School, 14895 Francesca Avenue, <br /> to consider the abolishing of the rural tax district. Location <br /> has been verified by City Clerk. <br /> VOTING FOR: Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 7.3 Contract for fire fighting - Forest Lake <br /> Fire Chief, Jim Olson, reviewed the contract that has been signed by Forest Lake, dated <br /> September 21, 1977. Mr. Johnson stated that if the Fire Department felt everything was <br /> in order, we could go ahead with the contract. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Vail, to ratify the Mutual Aid <br /> Agreement between the Hugo Fire Department and the Forest Lake <br /> Fire Department. <br /> VOTING FOR: Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The Council reviewed Mr. Johnson's report of October 3, 1977. Mr. Johnson stated that <br /> the Beisang Road was now under construction, and a draft of the road agreement with <br /> Grant Township is now being compiled. Mr. Johnson responded to the letter regarding <br /> whether blacktop plants are included in the Mining Permit. They are included as <br /> part of the processing, but each should be considered on an individual basis. Mr. <br /> Johnson will verify this in writing to the Planning Commission. <br /> 8.0 NEW BUSINESS <br /> 8.1 Approval for screening (Horton & Noack) <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Vail, to table the matter until <br /> November 7, 1977, for review by the City Engineer, <br /> VOTING FOR: Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br />
