r ; <br /> 7.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS 'v <br /> No discussion <br /> 8.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 8.2 James Mugs - Letter of credit <br /> Mr. Mugg.'s letter of credit has expired, and he stated that most of the <br /> construction is completed, and all the lots have been sold. He felt <br /> that the road was ready for the city to take over. LaValle felt that <br /> the letter of credit should be extended to see what kind of problems <br /> there might be. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the $2,000.00 <br /> letter of credit for Mr. James Mugg be extended for one <br /> year. A letter should be written to Mr. Mugg telling him that <br /> the city will be contacting him June, and will make an <br /> inspection of the road and will determine then if the letter <br /> of credit can be released. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Vern Peloquin - Letter of Credit <br /> Mr. Peloquin's $7500.00 letter of credit was due the first of the year. <br /> He felt that $5,000.00 would be sufficient for the blacktopping. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the letter <br /> of credit for blacktopping requirements on 148th Street <br /> for Vern Peloquin be reduced to $5,000.00 to insure completion <br /> of the project. Letter of credit to run for a term of one year. <br /> 8.1 Reserve capacity consideration <br /> Mr. Johnson will be contacting Mr. Frost, Metro Waste Control Commission, <br /> to try and resolve the problem of possible double payment made by the city. <br /> LaValle stated that reserve capacity in the system statement has to be <br /> completely reviewed. <br /> 9.0 New Business <br /> Mr. Daniel Murphy was hired on December 23, 1977, to fill the CETA, <br /> Special Projects vacancy. <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Vail, to hire Mr. Daniel <br /> Murphy under the CETA, Special Projects. The position will <br /> be terminated 9/1/78. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 9.2 Designate Official Newspaper <br /> A letter was received from Mr. Rasmussen, Forest Lake Times, expressing <br /> their desire to be the city's official newspaper. <br />
