MARCH 6.1978 7 3 <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.8 Engineer <br /> Mr. Kuusisto submitted his monthly report, along with a letter indicating <br /> the breakdown of costs relating to Watermain Improvement 148th Street Loop <br /> Closure. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the City of <br /> Hugo set an assessment hearing for April 3, 1978, at 7:30 PM, <br /> Hugo City Hall, for the proposed assessment on Watermain <br /> Improvement 148th Street Loop Closure. Cost of the project <br /> is $10,308.56 - proposed assessment $9.00/ft. <br /> 6.9 Clerk <br /> The City Clerk stated that Mr. Larry Evans has agreed to meeting with the <br /> City Council on March 21 , 1978, at 5:50 PM. LaValle stated that he would <br /> like to see something in writing so they know just what they are going to <br /> be negotiating. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the City of <br /> Hugo set an assessment hearing for April 3, 1978, at 5:30 PM <br /> Hugo City Hall, Siiith .Larry Evans to further discuss the labor <br /> contract. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> This will be the last year Ed Leroux will be carrying out his assessor's <br /> duties. He has someone in mind to take over the position. There have <br /> been other interested parties for the position. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by LaValle, that the City Clerk <br /> be instructed to publish in the legal newspaper that the city <br /> is interested in taking applications for tax assessor for <br /> the city. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfe]d , and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.10 Road Committe - No report. <br /> 7.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS <br /> The State of Minnesota has agreed to include resurfacing the portion of city <br /> streets located between Trunk Highway 61 and the railroad tracks on Project <br /> S.P. 8206-19 at an estimated cost to the city of $2,000.00. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to adopt RESOLUTION <br /> 1978-24 A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATION TO <br /> PARTICIPATE WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA IN THE RESURFACING <br /> OF HIGHWAY 61 . <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br />
