MARCH 20, 1978 <br /> 95 <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, that the <br /> Burning Permit fees be amended to $3.00 for application <br /> and $3.00 for the permit, Resolution 1978-25. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Vail, that the city <br /> authorize the Police Chief to attend the Police Chief's <br /> Training Service Institute, March 28 - 30, and that <br /> the tuition be paid in the amount of $50.00. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Mr. Carl Nordquist, President of the Hugo Lions Club, was present trying to ge <br /> the Council's feelings for the possible installation of public restroom <br /> facilities separate of City Hall. The club pays about $500 to have portable <br /> facilities provided during Good Neighbor Days. Mayor suggested that the club <br /> get in touch with Howard Kuusisto to try and resolve some of the problems. <br /> Councilman Deane Vail will assist in this matter. The City Council agreed tia t <br /> there was a need for this project. <br /> Richard Busse <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, directing the City <br /> Clerk to send a letter to Richard Busse stating that the city <br /> is not interested, at this time, in obtaining land from him <br /> for road easements. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The City Clerk was instructed to contact Mr. Charles Swanson, Washington <br /> County, regarding the condition of the road on 145th Street and High- <br /> way 61 . <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Vail, to adjourn the <br /> meeting at 10:27 PM. <br /> ALL AYE.
