NOVEMBER 6, 1978 267 <br />Hunt continued <br />Mr. Hunt was instructed as to the two possible solutions to this matter: <br />1. Mr. Hunt is to have the sewer connection inspected by a licensed and <br />bonded plumber (Ron or Rich Granger). The plumber is to certify in <br />writing that he will accept financial responsibility for work done. <br />The plumber would also be responsible for obtaining an outside permit, <br />if he is agreeable on accepting the job. <br />2. If Mr. Hunt is unable to comply with the previous directive, he will be <br />responsible for obtaining the financial security, and the misdemeanor <br />fine. <br />MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schletty, that we give Mr. <br />David Hunt until December 4, 1978 to comply with the City <br />Ordinance relative to his sewer hookup. <br />VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br />MOTION CARRIED <br />6._8 Engineer <br />Mr. Kuusisto and Mayor LaValle inspected the proposed road locations for the <br />Mardon Homes subdivision. Kuusisto stated that both locations are bad. The <br />top of the hill appears to be the best location. LaValle stated that the <br />application should go back to the Planning Commission with Howard Kuusisto's <br />recommendations. <br />LaValle stated the proposed road needs realignment and the preliminary plan <br />will have to be readjusted. He also had a problem with the 1000' driveways, <br />and the possible pollution of Long Lake because of the suggested building <br />sites. <br />6.9 Clerk <br />The city received a letter from Shepherd of the Fields Church requesting <br />lighting on 148th Street, between Freeland and Oneka Lake Blvd. <br />MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, recommending that <br />Councilman Schletty meet with the City Engineer and the rep- <br />resentative from NSP to determine what is needed for lighting <br />along 148th Stree, between Freeland and Oneka Lake Blvd.. <br />VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schlettv. Irsfeld and va;l <br />MOTION CARRIED <br />Mr. Winter, representative from the church, stated that they are interested <br />in purchasing some fluorescent fixtures that were removed along Highway 61. <br />Councilman Schletty will check to see how many fixtures there are. The Lions <br />Club might be interested in purchasing some lights. <br />MOTION: Spitzer made motion that the city authorize the payment for fees <br />for Mayor LaValle to attend the Washington County Mini -Conference on December <br />2, 1978. <br />MOTION FAILED FOR LACK OF SECOND <br />MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, to close City Hall <br />on November 24, 1978 rather than November 10, 1978, for the <br />observance of Veteran's Day. <br />VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br />MOTION CARRIED <br />MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, to set the Board of <br />Canvas for November 8, 1978, at 7:00 PM. <br />VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br />
