APRIL 2, 1979 43 <br /> 6.5 Fire Chief i <br /> Ron Istvanovich, Fire Chief, presented the Council with the Fire <br /> Department's Five Year Projection Plan. It was suggested that Mr. <br /> Istvanovich obtain cost figures for the proposed improvements. <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to extend the <br /> meeting past 11 :00 P.M. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried <br /> The Fire Chief requested authorization to send four firemen to the <br /> State Fire School, on May 18, 19, and 20, 1979, with a registration <br /> fee of 30.00/each. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, authorizing <br /> the Fire Chief to send four firemen to the State Fire School on May <br /> 18, 19, and 29, 1979, with the registration fee being paid for by <br /> the city. The city will also absorb the cost of $)40.00 for each <br /> firemen taking off work on Friday and the cost of mileage. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.6 Police Chief <br /> Chief Barth submitted his monthly report. A recommendation had <br /> previously been submitted for the swearing in of Reserve Officers. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schletty, to table <br /> the recommendation for the appointment of Reserve <br /> Officers until April 16, 1979, and requests Chief <br /> Barth to attend. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.7 Attorney <br /> Attorney Johnson submitted his monthly report. Johnson has reviewed <br /> the lease from Northwestern Bell, and has no problem with the way <br /> it reads now. However, nothing should be done until the bid is <br /> awarded. <br /> 6.8 Engineer <br /> Engineer Kuusisto submitted his monthly report. Kuusisto stated that <br /> he has not received a complete drainage plan for the proposed Peloquin <br /> subdivision in the Industrial Park. An application has been submitted <br /> to Rice Creek regarding the Brevig dike matter. The City Clerk was <br /> instructed to check with Rice Creek to determine the status of the <br /> application. Councilman Schletty stated that Mr. Paul Raschke is <br /> to be contacted by letter requesting that he appear before the Council. <br /> The Ordinance Committee will review the Driveway Ordinance to review <br /> the possibility of securing some financial guarantee in conjunction <br /> with the issuance of the Driveway Permit. <br /> 6.9 Clerk <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Spitzer, setting May <br /> 8, 1979, 9:30 AN - 3:30 PM, for the Board of Review. <br />
