NEW BUSINESS <br /> 9.0 CLERK <br /> The City has received a request from the Washington County Library to use City <br /> Hall on November 5, 1979, from 5:45 - 6:45 P.M. , to present a program on quilting <br /> for teenagers and adults. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Schletty, to grant permission to <br /> Washington County Library to use City Hall on November 5, 1979, <br /> from 5:45 - 6:45 P.M. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Schletty, to authorize the City <br /> Clerk to purchase a typewriter ($886.00) and a calculator ($152.10) . <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The City received a letter from Mrs. Theodora Peltier stating that wood was hauled <br /> to the property of Thomas Zimmerman at 10:30 P.M. , September 16, 1979. She also <br /> stated that no dust-control measures have been placed on 130th Street. Mr. Zimmerman <br /> has been reluctant to meet this requirement of his Special Use Permit, because gravel <br /> is scheduled for that street. Councilman Schletty will be discussing this matter <br /> with Mr. Zimmerman. <br /> PERSONNEL POLICY <br /> The following changes were made in the City's Personnel Policy adopted June 4, 1979: <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to amend the Personnel <br /> Policy as follows: <br /> 1 . Item 4.0 (paragraph 1 ) - Change 2/3's to one day per month. <br /> 2. Item 12.1 - Delete the last sentence. <br /> 3. Item 9.0 (paragraph 3) add the following - Each employee shall <br /> be entitled to the difference between the disability insurance <br /> policy benefits and 80% of his/her salary for one month for each <br /> year of service to a maximum of six (6) months. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld and Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br />
