Page 55 <br /> May 5, 1980 <br /> 6.6 Police Chief <br /> Officer Pure submitted his monthly report. <br /> 6.7 Attornez <br /> Attorney Johnson submitted his monthly report. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to approve <br /> the Police Union Contract . <br /> Spitzer withdrew his motion and Irsfeld his second. <br /> The Council discussed the Release Agreement submitted by NSP for <br /> work already completed on 140th Street. Attorney Johnson will <br /> review and report at the next meeting. The NSP power line problem <br /> will be reviewed and placed on the agenda for June 16, 1980 <br /> meeting. <br /> 6.8 Engineer <br /> Mr. Kuusisto submitted his monthly report. Kuusisto and Councilman <br /> Schletty had made their annual road inspection on this date. <br /> Kuusisto and the Council discussed the areas in Hugo that need work. <br /> The Clerk was instructed to have William Clark contact Howard <br /> Kuusisto regarding the dirt remaining in the ditch across from his <br /> home. The excess dirt has created a drainage problem. <br /> Officer Pure is to be notified of the dumpster parked on street <br /> right-of-way along Elmcrest Avenue and see to it that it is placed <br /> on private property. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that repair <br /> of 180th Street east of Henna is to be handled in <br /> the following manner: Forest Lake Township to grade <br /> and gravel the road, and Hugo to supply gravel. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Kuusisto stated that Ingersoll Avenue, north of County Road 4, is in <br /> very poor condition. Councilman Schletty was directed to have a <br /> traffic counter installed at that location. <br /> Kuusisto stated that the DNR will allow oil to be applied to the dirt <br /> roads, careful of waterways. Mrs. Peltier has a list of residents <br /> that are interested in having oil spread in front of their homes. <br /> The cost of the application is 36.00/100' of road. This service <br /> is to be paid in advance of VanWaters & Rogers being contacted. <br /> POLICE UNION CONTRACT <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that Attorney <br /> Johnson be directed to contact Mr. Larry Evans regarding <br /> lack of Appendix A and request that Mr. Evans supply a <br /> signed copy of Appendix A before the City is able to <br /> ratify the complete agreement. <br />
