Page 58 <br /> MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF <br /> May 19, 1980 <br /> The Public Hearing to consider assessments for Watermain Improvement <br /> 140th Street Loop Closure was called to order at 6:53 P.M. <br /> PRESENT: LaValle, Spitzer, Irsfeld Vail <br /> ABSENT: Schletty <br /> Mayor LaValle stated that the proposed assessment rate is $14.43/foot, <br /> of which 40% will be picked up by the city. The stub charge will be <br /> included in the $400.00 hookup charge. <br /> Mayor LaValle felt there was a discrepancy in the charge for water hookup. <br /> He stated that there is a REC charge for sewer connection, but no charge <br /> similar to that for water hookup. LaValle suggested that the Ordinance <br /> Committee work with Mr. Burkard, Water Superintendent, and report of <br /> their findings. (SCHLETTY ARRIVED AT 6:58 P.M.) <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Vail, to adopt RESOLUTION <br /> 1980-69, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE ASSESSMENT FIGURE RATE <br /> FOR THE WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT 140th STREET LOOP CLOSURE <br /> AT $14.43/FOOT. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Vail, to adjourn the <br /> public hearing at 7:00 P.M. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> The regular meeting of the Hugo City Council was called to order at <br /> 7:00 P.M. <br /> PRESENT: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Spitzer, to approve the <br /> General Claims for May 19, 1980, as submitted. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Spitzer, to approve the <br /> General Claims for May 19, 1980, as submitted. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br />
