Page 85 August 4, 1980 Mrs. Peltier, chairwoman of the Planning Commission, asked for clarfication on regulations for public hearings. Attorney Johnson advised that a public hearing can be recessed only if a definite time and date is specified for the continuation. 6.3 Water Superintendent MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the Water Superintendent be authorized to purchase a metal detector in an amount not to exceed $600.00. Payment to be made through the Water Department. VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld MOTION CARRIED The Water Superintendent was directed to shutoff the water at Hoppy's for non- payment of the water bill. Other delinquent accounts are also to be notified. 6.4 Building Inspector Mr. Crever submitted his monthly report. Crever requested that Attorney Johnson provide him with a copy of the final regulations for accessory buildings so that he can review. 6.5 Fire Chief - No discussion 6.6 Police Chief MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by LaValle, that the City of Hugo accept the resignation of Jeffrey Klarich effective 7/30/80. VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld MOTION CARRIED MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the mandatory notice period for termination in the Police Contract be waived for Mr. Klarich. VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld MOTION CARRIED 6.7 Attorney Mr. Johnson submitted his monthly report. After review of a survey submitted by Thomas Clark, it was determined that the Clerk should not approve for recording because subdivision would be required. 6.8 Engineer Mr. Kuusisto submitted his monthly report. Bids have been obtained for the repair work necessary in front of Axin Products in the Bald Eagle Industrial Park. Grace Development would be responsible for payment of the work.
