Page 97 <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Spitzer, to sell the listed police <br /> equipment to the Lindstrom Police Department for $400.00 <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOITON CARRIED <br /> Councilman Schletty was directed to contact George Atkinson informing him that he <br /> has permission to remove gravel from the city's pit. <br /> MISCELLANEOUS MEETINGS <br /> Metro Council Open Space will be meeting October 6th for further discussion of <br /> acquistion of land in Hugo for their park system. <br /> There will be a meeting Friday morning, 9/19/80, at 9:00 AM, Washington County <br /> Sheriff's Office, for further discussion of the Police Contract. <br /> The Hugo City Council will meet at Forest Lake Townhall, 9/17/80, at 6:30 PM, to <br /> try and resolve the 180th Street problem. <br /> 8.0 NEW BUSINESS <br /> 8.1 Jim Houle - Resignation from Planning Commission <br /> MOTION: Spitzer made motion, seconded by LaValle, to accept Jim Houle's resig- <br /> nation. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The Clerk's office was directed to place an ad in the local newspapers to fill <br /> the position on the Planning Commission. Recommendation to be submitted to the <br /> City Council when ready. <br /> 9.0 CLERK <br /> MOTION Schletty made motion, seconded by Ladle; to sell the safe located in the <br /> Police Department for $50.00. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The clerk stated that there has been vandalism at the Old Village Hall where all the <br /> old city records are stored. The clerk was instructed to have the boxes removed <br /> from there and store in the old police department office. The clerk was also in- <br /> structed to obtain cost estimate for microfilming of these records. <br /> The clerk stated that there are numerous heavy trucks traveling Everton Avenue. <br /> She was instructed to contact the League of Municipalities to see if they have <br /> ordinances regulating weight restrictions. <br /> The clerk will be meeting with the City auditor on 9/18/80, for review of the city <br /> books. Ther clerk was instructed to cancel the appointment if review and cost <br /> is not covered by the original contract. <br /> 10.0 MISCELLANEOUS <br /> Councilman Schletty was instructed to work with Washington County in order to <br /> resolve the road problems on 17.5th Street. <br />
