Page 96 <br /> MOTION: Spitzermade motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that the Planning Commission be <br /> advised that it is the concensus of the City Council that if an appro- <br /> priate Development Contract for the Schuneman matter can be developed and <br /> exposed at a public hearing, that the City Council will be willing to con- <br /> sider Land Division. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5.7 A & B Construction - Special Use Permit and Variance <br /> The Planning Commission recommended approval of the requests, and Mayor LaValle stated <br /> that a public hearing is required before approval can be granted. <br /> MOTION: Spitzer 7-made motion.,referring the A & B Construction applications to the <br /> Planning Commission for the purpose of holding a public hearing according <br /> to the Ordinance. <br /> Spitzer withdrew his motion. <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Spitzer, setting a public hearing for <br /> October 6, 1980, 7:30 PM, to consider the request of A & B Construction <br /> for a Special Use Permit for watchman's quarters in the IND zone. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5.8 John Moore - Discussion on Sewer Project (8A) <br /> Mr. Moore is contemplating the purchase of land from Grace Development along 8A. In <br /> order to accommodate multi-family units, the land would have to be rezoned to SFU. SFE <br /> allows for duplexes by Specail Use Permit. To extend city improvements to this land, <br /> a number of financial guarantees would be required from Mr. Moore. LaValle suggested <br /> that Mr. Moore hire a reputable firm to have an overall plan made up with different <br /> stages of development. The Mayor reitereated the fact that this piece of property <br /> will be difficult to develop because of certain drainage problems and soil conditions. <br /> To extend sewer and water, Mr. Moore was instructed to submit a proposal to the city <br /> to enter into a contract for these improvements. Engineer Kuusisto has most of the per- <br /> tinent data completed and in his office. <br /> 5.9 Unpaid Permits <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, to dispose of permits andtake no <br /> other action. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 6.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS - No discussion <br /> 7.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> As a result of terminating the Hugo Police Department, the city has a shotgun rack, <br /> radar appartus, and a security device to dispose of. <br />
