G J <br /> May 18, 1981 <br /> MISCELLANEOUS <br /> Mr. Frank Martin, owner of 10 acres included in the sludge/ash site in Hugo, appeared <br /> before the Council requesting their assistance and to encourage resistance to the <br /> proposed site. . Mrs. Riemer, owner of a house in that area, stated that she has <br /> been in contact with Connie Levi. Mrs. Levi suggested that the city get on record <br /> as being opposed to the site by submission of a Resolution. Copies of the Resolution <br /> to be forwarded to the necessary agencies. <br /> MOTION: Schletty made motion, seconded by Irsfeld, that Councilmen McAllister and <br /> Vail work on a sludge/ash Resolution for the meeting of June 1 , 1981 . <br /> VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 7.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> Mr. Johnson has prepared the release agreement for the Brevig dike matter. When the <br /> Minor Subdivision is completed, the agreement will signed off. <br /> The Washington County Sheriff's Contract has been received with the necessary re- <br /> visions. Attorney Johnson stated that the contract is now ready to be acted on. <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, seconded by Schletty, to authorize the Mayor to sign <br /> the Police Contract with Washington County. <br /> VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> Mr. Johnson clarified his previous comments relating to executive sessions. The law <br /> has not been changed. There are no particular guidelines relating to the Open <br /> Meeting Law, and litigation is handled on an individual basis. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Vail, that correspondence from Council- <br /> man Larry Irsfeld indicating his withdrawal of resignation be accepted. <br /> VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schletty, Vail <br /> ABSTAINED: Schletty <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The Development Contract for the Shamrock Glen subdivision has been prepared, and <br /> can be discussed when permits are granted from Rice Creek Watershed. <br /> INSURANCE BIDS <br /> The Curtis Agency had submitted a bid of $5,968.00 for city insurance. Mr. Curtis <br /> did not have all specifications when making his bid. The Beulke Agency submitted <br /> a bid of $7,733.00, with an estimated dividend reduction bringing the cost to $5,433.00. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Vail, that the city insurance be renewed <br /> with the Beulke Agency, with an expiration date of June 1 , 1982, at a cost <br /> of approximately $5,433.00. <br /> VOTING FOR: McAllister, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> ABSTAINED: Schletty <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br />
