"1-t <br /> July 20, 1981 <br /> Attorney Johnson stated that he will put together a brief summary of laws passed <br /> in the last legislative session that would be of interest to the City of Hugo. <br /> 9.0 CLERK <br /> The Fire Chief, along with Deputy Sheriff Klarich, questioned whether the city <br /> could enforce the ordinance requiring house numbers to be located on mailboxes or <br /> visible numbers on a house from the street. LaValle stated that he would prefer <br /> that the matter be addressed in the Fire Department's mailing for their Smoker. <br /> He stated that he will draft a letter that should be included in the maailing. <br /> annu <br /> A letter was received from the Sunset Lake Home Owners Assn. , requesting street <br /> signs along Homestead Drive and Ingersoll Avenue. <br /> MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by McAllister, that the letter from Doug <br /> Kruse be accepted for the record and Councilman Schletty make a recommenda- <br /> tion to the city at the meeting of August 17, 1981 . <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the City Clerk be <br /> authorized to attend the meeting in Stillwater, on August 19, 1981 , <br /> regarding city financing. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> The clerk was instructed to tally the number of legal and engineering fees incurred <br /> on various applications received by the city. These fees can now be recovered. <br /> The clerk discussed the possibility of closing the Planning Commission agenda sooner <br /> in order to get the necessary data to the engineer and attorney for their comments. <br /> It was the concensus that the procedure remain the same. It was also determined <br /> that the filing system, as presently used, should remain the same, but a cross index <br /> by category, could be implemented. The clerk was also informed that she can submit <br /> any nuisance complaints to the appropriate city inspector for their review. The <br /> financial statement for the month of June was submitted as required. <br /> 10.0 MISCELLANEOUS <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Vail, authorizing the Mayor to forward <br /> a letter to New Scandia, Mr. Franz Westermeir, stating that Hugo has no <br /> objection to their Comprehensive Plan, as submitted. <br /> VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> There will be a meeting at Stillwater Senior High, on August 11 , 1981 , regarding <br /> the proposed sanitary landfill in the City of Hugo. The City Council approved <br /> engineering and legal assistance in preparing a report to be made at this meeting. <br /> A letter was sent to Robert McCullough on June 18, 1981 , regarding conditbns attached <br /> to his Site Plan approval. (bond and agreement for pumpting of septic system). <br />
