"1-t July 20, 1981 Attorney Johnson stated that he will put together a brief summary of laws passed in the last legislative session that would be of interest to the City of Hugo. 9.0 CLERK The Fire Chief, along with Deputy Sheriff Klarich, questioned whether the city could enforce the ordinance requiring house numbers to be located on mailboxes or visible numbers on a house from the street. LaValle stated that he would prefer that the matter be addressed in the Fire Department's mailing for their Smoker. He stated that he will draft a letter that should be included in the maailing. annu A letter was received from the Sunset Lake Home Owners Assn. , requesting street signs along Homestead Drive and Ingersoll Avenue. MOTION: LaValle made motion, seconded by McAllister, that the letter from Doug Kruse be accepted for the record and Councilman Schletty make a recommenda- tion to the city at the meeting of August 17, 1981 . VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Vail MOTION CARRIED MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the City Clerk be authorized to attend the meeting in Stillwater, on August 19, 1981 , regarding city financing. VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Vail MOTION CARRIED The clerk was instructed to tally the number of legal and engineering fees incurred on various applications received by the city. These fees can now be recovered. The clerk discussed the possibility of closing the Planning Commission agenda sooner in order to get the necessary data to the engineer and attorney for their comments. It was the concensus that the procedure remain the same. It was also determined that the filing system, as presently used, should remain the same, but a cross index by category, could be implemented. The clerk was also informed that she can submit any nuisance complaints to the appropriate city inspector for their review. The financial statement for the month of June was submitted as required. 10.0 MISCELLANEOUS MOTION: McAllister made motion, seconded by Vail, authorizing the Mayor to forward a letter to New Scandia, Mr. Franz Westermeir, stating that Hugo has no objection to their Comprehensive Plan, as submitted. VOTING FOR: LaValle, McAllister, Schletty, Vail MOTION CARRIED There will be a meeting at Stillwater Senior High, on August 11 , 1981 , regarding the proposed sanitary landfill in the City of Hugo. The City Council approved engineering and legal assistance in preparing a report to be made at this meeting. A letter was sent to Robert McCullough on June 18, 1981 , regarding conditbns attached to his Site Plan approval. (bond and agreement for pumpting of septic system).
