45 <br /> MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br /> May 17, 1982 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor, Larry Irsfeld, at 7:06 PM. <br /> PRESENT: McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> Also - Attorney Johnson and Engineer Kuusisto <br /> ABSENT: LaValle <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, McAllister seconded, to approve the minutes of May 3, <br /> 1982, after the following correction has been made: <br /> Page 42 (Glen Crain) - Mr. Crain did not volunteer to clean the ditch. He <br /> stated he would take care of the debris after the ditch was cleaned. <br /> VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, McAllister seconded, to approve the General Claims for <br /> May 17, 1982, as submitted. <br /> VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schletty, Irsf e ld,Vai l <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Schletty made motion, McAllister seconded, to approve the Utility Claims <br /> for May 17, 1982, as submitted. <br /> VOTING FOE: McAllister, Schletty, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, COMMUNICATIONS & LICENSES <br /> 5.1 Fire Chief - Renovation of Dump Truck <br /> Ron Istvanovich was present and stated he would like to have the 1969 dump truck con- <br /> verted into a tanker for trucking water. The estimated cost would be approximately <br /> $5200.00, and that cost could be reduced with volunteer labor from the Fire Department. <br /> Ron stated that there is room in the present fire hall to accommodate the truck for <br /> the winter months, and in the summer, would be stored outside or in the Lions Club <br /> building. Ron also felt he could cut back on certain budgeted items to help meet <br /> costs for the project. <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, Vail seconded, that the Fire Department be allowed to <br /> renovate the dump truck making it into a water truck. Financing would be <br /> obtained from the revenue of the sale of the remaining equipment (grader, <br /> loader, dump truck, etc. ,) , In addition, the Fire Chief instructed to look <br /> for other ways within the budget to make the difference between sale pro- <br /> ceeds and the estimated $4800.00 expenditure of this project. <br /> VOTING FOR: Irsfeld, Vail <br /> VOTING AGAINST: McAllister, Schletty <br /> MOTION FAILED <br />
