53 <br /> MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL <br /> June 7, 1982 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor LaValle at 7:07 PM. <br /> PRESENT: LaValle, McAllister, Irsfeld, Vail <br /> ABSENT: Schletty <br /> 3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made mot ion, Vail seconded, to approve the minutes of May 17, 1982, <br /> as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, McAllister seconded, to approve the minutes of the Special <br /> Meeting of May 27, 1982, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br /> MOTION: Vail made motion, McAllister seconded, to approve the General Claims for <br /> June 7, 1982, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the Utility Claims for <br /> June 7, 1982, as submitted. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.0 PETITIONS, REQUESTS, COMMUNICATIONS & LICENSES <br /> Mr. & Mrs. Delano Schmidt, 9364 170th Street, was present to inquire who owned the 66' <br /> easement lying west of their property. Their neighbor has placed a fence on the section <br /> line for pasture. Mayor LaValle informed Mr. Schmidt that the easement belonged to <br /> the City of Hugo, established on May 25, 1899. The city assured Mr. Schmidt that if <br /> the easement was ever vacated, adjoining property owners would be notified of the <br /> public hearing. <br /> 5. 1 Renovation of Dump Truck <br /> Ron Istvanovich, Fire Chief, was present, and stated that he can cut approximately <br /> $4,000 from the Fire Department's 1982 budget to help pay for the truck. They are <br /> proposing the renovation of the city's 1969 dump truck into a tanker for trucking <br /> water. Ron assured them that the Fire Hall could accommodate the new truck. <br /> MOTION: Irsfeld made motion, Vail seconded, that the Fire Department be allowed to <br /> renovate thedump truck making it into a water truck. Financing would <br /> be obtained from the revenue of the sale of the remaining equipment (grader, <br /> loader, dump truck, etc. , ) . In addition, the Fire Chief instructed to look <br /> for other ways within the budget to make the difference between the sale <br /> proceeds and the estimated $4800.00 expenditure of this project. <br /> A l l aye.
