66 July 19, 1982 6.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS 6.1 Proposed Ordinance 187 MOTION: LaValle made motion, Irsfeld seconded, to schedule a public hearing for August 2, 1982, at 8:00 PM, to consider the proposed ORDINANCE 187, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 320 OF THE HUGO CITY CODE ENTITLED "ZONING" BY DEFINING EARTH SHELTERED DWELLINGS, ADDING REGULATION OF MINIMUM DWELLING DIMENSION, AND REQUIRING FOUNDATION ATTACHMENT. All aye. Motion Carried. 7.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS 7. 1 Capitol City Contract MOTION: McAllister made motion, Irsfeld seconded, that a letter be sen to John Rukavina stating that the City of Hugo agrees, in principle, with the Capitol City Contract and that the existing contract still in force. A copy of the proposed contract is to be forwarded to the City of Hugo for our review prior to adoption. All aye. Motion Carried. 8.0 NEW BUSINESS 8.1 Discussion of Water Sinking Account It was determined that the approximately $69,000 should remain in the water sinking fund for the time being. 8.2 Proposed Sheriff's Contract A copy of the proposed contract was submitted to Attorney Johnson for his review. Mayor LaValle instructed Johnson to draft a letter to the county stating the city's concerns with the proposal. Councilman Irsfeld requested that budget information be obtained from department heads for discussion at the 2nd meeting in August. 9.0 ATTORNEY AND ENGINEER Councilman Schletty and Engineer Kuusisto will make an on-site inspection of the Fischer pit to determine how many yards of gravel are there and an estimated price so that the city can make an offer to purchase the gravel. Attorney Johnson submitted his monthly report. Mr. Johnson will be working with Carley Engineering's personnel to try and resolve the Husnik subdivision in the industrial park. 10.0 CLERK MOTION: McAllister made motion, Irsfeld seconded, that the auditors appear before the Council on August 2, 1982, 6:30 PM, to discuss the audit for 1981.
