FISCHER GRAVEL PIT Engineer Kuusisto and Councilman Schletty made an on-site inspection of the Fischer gravel pit to consider possible commitment to purchase the gravel. MOTION: LaValle made motion, McAllister seconded, that the City Engineer be authorized to prepare the necessary documents for the city to purchase the quantities of Class 5 bituminous aggregate and Dresser trap rock from Fischer Construction located at the Hansen pit. The financial terms are as follows: $20,000 if paid in two years or $18,000 if paid in cash. All aye. Motion Carried. While on the Fischer inspection, Engineer Kuusisto and Schletty made an inspection of some streets. Douglas Hesley, 14460 Hyde Avenue, has filled a small ponding area because he felt it was a breeding ground for mosquitos and flies, and, in general, a nuisance. Engineer Kuusisto will write a letter to Mr. Hesley regarding a control structure that will be required as a result of the filling of the pond. MOTION: LaValle made motion, Schletty seconded, to approve JO 49002 for Northwestern Bell. All aye. Motion Carried. MOTION: McAllister made motion, Vail seconded, to approve Change Order No. 3 for Project 8118. All aye.
